Intraday trading enabled right up until the delivery hour

Fingrid is going to extend the intraday gate closure time zero (IDGCT-0) pilot within the Finnish bidding zone.

Over the last two years Fingrid’s IDGCT-0 pilot has enabled intraday trading within the Finnish bidding zone right up until the delivery hour. On the basis of the experience acquired by Fingrid and positive feedback of market participants, it has been decided to continue with the intraday gate closure time of zero minutes within the Finnish bidding zone at least until the go-live of cross-border trading in 15-minute market units. At this point the intraday gate closure time applied within the Finnish bidding zone will be reviewed. The extension of the IDGCT-0 pilot does not affect the prevailing intraday gate closure times at Finnish-Swedish and Finnish-Estonian bidding zone borders which remain at 60 and 30 minutes respectively.
