Service in brief

Service in brief

View contract details

You can see all your electricity contracts. You can check who your current electricity supplier and distribution system operator are, and whether your contract is fixed-term or valid until further notice.

Monitor your energy consumption

You can monitor your electricity consumption and compare it with your previous consumption or with the consumption of a reference group. You can also export your consumption data in CSV format.

Act on behalf of another person

You can manage matters in OmaDatahub on behalf of a company or another person if they have authorized you through Suomi.fi.

Who can use OmaDatahub?

As a consumer, you can view your own data in OmaDatahub if you have a valid electricity contract.

The service also displays information on your previous electricity contracts if you have a valid electricity contract at the time of login. Old data is retained for a maximum of six years if there is a gap between contracts.

A company representative can also log in using their personal identification credentials to view the company’s Datahub data if they have been granted the necessary authorization through Suomi.fi or have the right to sign on behalf of the company. The company must have a valid electricity contract.

Logging in to OmaDatahub

You log in to the service using Suomi.fi identification. Identification methods include a mobile certificate, online banking credentials, the hightrust.id application and an identity card. The service can only be accessed from the Nordic countries and the EU area.

The language of the login page is determined by the default language settings of your browser. After logging in, you can change the language.

Why can’t I log in to the customer portal?

Login issues can have several causes. Clearing the browser’s cache may be one solution.

At present, there are differences between different bank identification services. For certain banks, more than one try may be necessary. If your first login fails, please try again. This error situation is under investigation.

At present, you can only log in to the Datahub customer portal in the Nordic countries and within the EU.

If your login results in the error message ”Unknown customer”, this indicates that there are no electricity agreements registered in Datahub for your personal identity code. If you do have an active electricity agreement, please check with your supplier under which name and personal identity code this agreement has been registered in Datahub.

Why can’t I log in as a personal customer after having unsuccessfully tried to log in as a business customer?

If a person is authorised in the Suomi.fi service to act on behalf of a company, but the company in question neither has nor has had any electricity agreements, then this company does not exist in Datahub. The identification using the Suomi.fi service is successful, but the login to Datahub on behalf of the company fails as follows:

The person successfully gets to Datahub’s customer portal and selects “Login as company user”.

The user receives the following notifications:

  •   ”Successfully logged in at Suomi.fi”
  •   ”Login to Datahub failed”

At this point, selecting “Login as current user” will give the error message ”No data found, please login on behalf of or as company user.”

After an unsuccessful login on behalf of a company, it is unfortunately not possible to switch to the personal customer login within the same session.

To access your personal information, please log out of Datahub and start the login process over.

Using OmaDatahub on behalf of a company or another person

In OmaDatahub, you can act on behalf of another person, a company or an organization using Suomi.fi e-Authorizations.

On the Suomi.fi e-Authorizations pages, under “Grant and request authorisations”, you can grant and request electronic mandates for the matters of your choice. Select “Viewing the details of electricity agreements” as the mandate theme. Once the mandate is valid in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations, you can act on behalf of another person in the Authorization Service.

If a person cannot grant an authorization independently in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations, for example due to lack of competence or identification methods, the authorization can be granted with assistance.

Acting on behalf of another person is not possible if the person has a non-disclosure for personal safety purposes.

More information on granting a mandate is available in the Suomi.fi e-Authorizations instructions. Contact details for end-user support and advice on Suomi.fi e-Authorizations can be found on the Advisory service on Suomi.fi services

The Datahub Authorization Service

The Datahub Authorization Service was introduced on 20 May 2026. Since then, authorizations have been managed in the Authorization Service instead of OmaDatahub.

The Authorization Service provides a more flexible way to manage authorizations. It enables the acceptance of authorization requests sent by companies, whereas in OmaDatahub the customer was always the party initiating the authorization.

You log in to the Authorization Service in the same way as to OmaDatahub, using Suomi.fi identification.

In the Authorization Service, the customer can:

  • Select one or more electricity locations/accounting points for which the authorization is granted
  • Grant authorizations for all their accounting points at once
  • See what the authorization includes before granting it
  • View and approve authorization requests sent by electricity market parties
  • Terminate valid authorizations

Why can’t I find data for the entire duration of my electricity agreement?

If the supplier or network company has made amendments to your electricity agreement during your agreement period, it is possible that data is not shown for the entire duration of your agreement. If you have trouble finding your data, please contact your electricity supplier or network company to sort this out.

Can I find information on all my electricity agreements?

In the customer portal you can view all agreements and authorisations for each of your accounting points.

Datahub went live on 21 February 2022. In Datahub’s start-up phase, historical data for a maximum period of six years was imported. If the customer’s agreement had been valid for less than six years at the time of the import, this was the maximum amount of data imported. The data was retrieved just before the go-live of Datahub and all agreements valid at that time or expiring within six weeks of it were imported. Therefore, your complete electricity agreement history may not be found in Datahub.

Who is responsible for the data in OmaDatahub?

Responsibility for the data in the system lies with the retail electricity market parties: distribution system operators and electricity suppliers.

Distribution system operators are responsible for accounting point information and metering data. If information concerning your accounting point or network contract needs to be updated, or if there are gaps in your metering data, contact your distribution system operator.

Electricity suppliers are responsible for the customer information shown in OmaDatahub. If your customer information or electricity supply contract information needs to be updated, contact your electricity supplier.

Fingrid Datahub Oy is responsible for the operation and development of Datahub and the OmaDatahub service.

How far back is data available in OmaDatahub?

Under the Electricity Market Act, Datahub retains data for six years after the electricity contract and the related metering have ended. After this, the data is automatically deleted. Electricity users cannot influence the deletion of their data from Datahub.

When Datahub was introduced on 21 February 2022, historical data covering a maximum of six years was imported, or data covering the validity period of the customer’s contract if the contract had been valid for less than six years.

Does OmaDatahub show electricity prices and invoices?

OmaDatahub does not contain electricity price information or invoices. Datahub only stores data required for information exchange between electricity suppliers and distribution system operators. Companies’ pricing information and consumers’ invoices are not included in this data.

The market price of electricity can be checked in other services, such as Fingrid’s Tuntihinta application. Your own invoice information is available in the services of your electricity supplier and distribution system operator.
