Balancing capacity market reform

Finland's national mFRR capacity market is changing from a weekly procurement to an hourly market running the previous day. Before the go-live, there will be a test period. More instructions in the implementation guide and in the webinar on October 6.

The renewing mFRR capacity market test period is planned to be organized from 7 to 11 November 2022. During that time, the operation of the market is simulated in such a way that market participants can submit test offers until 9:30 a.m. daily, and Fingrid makes the test purchases by 10:30 a.m.

We will tell you more about the implementation and go through the instructions for reserve suppliers in the webinar on October 6, 2022 at 9:30-10:30. The webinar will be recorded and the recording can be requested from Fingrid.
