Update: Consultation on the Nordic TSO strategy for wind and sector integration extended until April 16.
This consultation concerns the Nordic transmission system operators’ (Energinet, Fingrid, Statnett and Svenska kraftnät) drafted common strategy to meet expectations for developments in wind power and sector integration. Both wind development and sector integration are areas where the future development paths are dependent on multiple actors. Stakeholders are key to the success of this strategy work and any input and views received will be important in the process.
The strategy work will span the next ten years, until 2030. The strategy sets out short- and long-term milestones to ensure an efficient integration of wind and to support and utilize the integration of energy systems. The strategy covers plans for energy markets, network operation, infrastructure and planning to support the energy transition.
Below, please find the Nordic TSO draft strategy and background report for wind development and sector integration. We would like to ask you to provide your input to the strategy and comment on the material by answering the questions below.
Based on stakeholders´ request, consultation period is extended by two weeks. Please answer to consultation by April 16, 2021.
After the consultation, the Nordic TSOs will amend the strategy and arrange the next webinar in autumn of 2021. The strategy will be finalized and made public in the spring of 2022 as part of the next Nordic TSOs’ joint Solutions Report.
