Import of the Guarantees of Origin of an Italian gas power plant into the Finnish GO register suspended

Finextra has been notified by the AIB (Association of Issuing Bodies), whose members are European GO registrars that the Italian registrar GSE (Gestore dei Servizi Energetici GSE S.p.A) has issued Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin that are unlikely to fully meet the requirements of renewable energy to the Raffineria Sarroch gas power plant.

The Italian registrar GSE and the AIB are taking action to prevent the transfer of these GOs between European GO registers.
