Fingrid continues the testing period of the real-time publication of balancing power pricing data

During the winter 2016/2017, Fingrid conducted a testing period of the real-time publication of balancing power pricing data. The aim of the testing period was to test how the publication of pricing data affects the management of power balance across the power system in scarcity situations.

The price was to be published in situations where Finland is decoupled into a separate regulation area and voluntary up-regulating bids remaining on the balancing power market amount to 100 MW or less. The above-mentioned scarcity situation did not occur during the testing period, so Fingrid has decided to continue the testing period of the real-time publication of balancing power pricing data under the same terms. This testing period is valid until further notice.
