Fingrid ran reserve power plants this morning to maintain power balance

Disturbance release updated on 08 Sep. at 10:56 a.m.:
The situation was caused by a lack of production and adjustment capacity. Fingrid reserve power plants have been stopped and Fingrid dismantles the reservation at 10:55 a.m.

Fingrid’s Huutokoski and Forssa reserve power plants were started up today, 8 September. 7:39 a.m. to balance the Finnish electricity system.

Fingrid asked the electricity market parties for more up-adjustment offers and the situation has been brought under control. The price of adjustment electricity is currently exceptionally high at approximately €5,000/MWh.

During the situation, the power shortage phases were not implemented in Finland.
