Intraday capacity pricing methodology decision was published by ACER

ACER has published its decision on the methodology for European intraday capacity pricing on the 24th of January 2019.

The methodology for pricing intraday capacity is based on the implementation of three intraday auctions timed for

  • 15:00 CET day-ahead
  • 22.00 CET day-ahead, and
  • 10:00 CET within-day.

The auctions will allow trading for all remaining market time units (MTUs) in the intraday time frame. Continuous intraday trading will be suspended for the time it takes to run the auction. TSOs and NEMOs will work closely together to implement the methodology.
