Fingrid Oyj divests ownership in Porvoon Alueverkko Oy
In a transaction completed today, Fingrid Oyj has sold its shares in Porvoon Alueverkko Oy to Porvoon Sähköverkko Oy, which is part of the Porvoon Energia Oy - Borgå Energi Ab Group. The transaction covers Fingrid’s entire ownership in the company, i.e. 1/3 of all of Porvoon Alueverkko Oy’s shares and votes.Porvoon Alueverkko Oy owns and maintains electricity grids and also produces grid services for the Porvoo area. Porvoon Alueverkko Oy’s activities as a distribution network operator have been separate from Fingrid Oyj’s transmission grid operations.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the transaction. The transaction will have a minor positive effect on Fingrid Oyj’s second quarter result.
