Power transmission from Finland to Russia is tested on the Russia – Finland 400 kV interconnections

The Finnish TSO Fingrid, the Russian JSC Federal Grid Company of the Unified Energy System and the Russian JSC System Operator of the United Power System are preparing technical and commercial conditions for a two-way trade between Finland and Russia. Until now, commercial flow on the 400 kV interconnectors is only possible from Russia to Finland.
For the purposes of technically testing the operation of Vyborg link in FI - RU direction, one of the four DC-links in Vyborg with the capacity of 350 MW will be tested for electricity transmission from Finland to Russia on Saturday, the 14th of September, 2013. The hourly flows associated with the test are published on Fingrid's web-page as usual.
