Fingrid Oyj and Elering OÜ have completed the Estlink 1 transmission cable transaction

The grid network companies Fingrid Oyj from Finland and Elering OÜ from Estonia have completed the Estlink 1 transmission cable transaction.​Previously, the transmission system operators have rented the cable capacity from its owners, AS Nordic Energy Link ("NEL") and its subsidiary N.E.L. Finland Oy. NEL's shareholders are Eesti Energia AS (39.9%), AS Latvenergo (25%), Lietuvos Energijos Gamyba AB (25%) and Finestlink Oy (10.1%).

The transaction was announced on 27 November, 2013.
