Despite Storm Seija shaking the national grid, all damage rectified

Storm Seija caused a few disturbances to Fingrid's power transmission in Kainuu and Southern Finland on Friday 13 December 2013.
During Friday, much work has been done on Fingrid’s power lines in order to ensure their functionality. In Kainuu, the section of line going over Lake Oulujärvi is being inspected by helicopter. In Southern Finland, the operation of protection relays is being checked.

In the wake of the storm, Fingrid’s 14,000 km-long national grid section has been returned to normal electricity transmission and the state of readiness of the national grid control room has been returned to normal level.
