400 kilovolt transmission line Toivila - Vihtavuori commissioned

New line secures electricity supply in the Jämsänjokilaakso region.The new 400 kilovolt transmission line of Fingrid Oyj, which is responsible for the nation-wide electricity transmission grid in Finland, from Toivila in Jämsä to Vihtavuori in Jyväskylä in Central Finland is now complete, and the line has been commissioned. The Toivila and Vihtavuori substations were also expanded in conjunction with the line project. The grid extension costing a total of approx. 18 million euros will secure electricity supply in particular in the Jämsänjokilaakso region with many industrial enterprises. The main contractor of the 86-kilometre transmission line was SAG Energieversorgungslösungen GmbH, a German company. The main contractor of the substations was Siemens Osakeyhtiö.
