Cybersoft appointed responsible for Fingrid's ELNET database system

Fingrid Oyj, which is responsible for the main electricity transmission grid in Finland, has signed a co-operation agreement with Oy Cybersoft Ab concerning the updating and development of the ELNET database system used for the technical information management on the main grid. The contract will extend until the end of 2007.Fingrid's ELNET system takes care of the centralised management and updating of technical information concerning the Finnish main grid. The system contains models and data on the technical components and functionalities of the main grid. It also contains several applications for grid operation. Cybersoft and Fingrid have conducted ELNET co-operation since 1989, from the first specification of the system. Over the years, the system has been developed by several Finnish software companies such as Tietotehdas, Tekla, Stonesoft and WM-data Novo. In accordance with the co-operation contract signed, Cybersoft will carry the full responsibility for the updating and development of the ELNET system.
