Transmission reservations on the Russian cross-border connections confirmed

350 megawatts of transmission capacity on the Russian cross-border connections of Fingrid Oyj, which is responsible for the main electricity transmission grid in Finland, have been confirmed for two importers.Based on an account supplied by RAO UES of Russia, which is responsible for grid transmission and cross-border transmission in Russia, as well as on the terms for transmission capacity reservations, Fingrid has confirmed a transmission reservation of 100 megawatts for OstElektra Gmbh and a transmission reservation of 250 megawatts to RAO Nordic Oy.

The transmission reservations will become effective as of the beginning of 2004.

Out of the total commercial capacity of 1300 megawatts on the cross-border connections 1050 megawatts have now been reserved as of the beginning of 2004. The portion of 250 MW that remained unconfirmed, Fingrid will let for re-reservation process according to a separate schedule to be informed later.
