Portion of transmission capacity still available for reservation on Fingrid's cross-border connections from Russia

Fingrid, the Finnish transmission system operator, offers to the electricity market parties electricity transmission capacity through its cross-border connections from Russia. As of the beginning of 2004, on these connections 250 megawatts (MW) of transmission capacity remained unconfirmed.
The available transmission capacity is offered to the electricity market parties at equal transmission and price terms. As of 1 February 2004, a total of 250 MW of transmission capacity can be reserved.

The binding transmission reservations for the available capacity must be submitted to Fingrid by 16 January 2004. The contract periods can range such that they may expire either at the end of 2004, 2005 or 2006. The smallest unit that can be reserved is 50 MW. As of the beginning of 2004, the total volume of capacity reserved can be 300 MW for companies included in the same group of companies. Fingrid will confirm the transmission reservations right after it has received an account of corresponding reservations on the transmission connections in Russia as well as of other reviews made to a necessary extent in the purpose of of the reservation terms.
