Fenno-Skan 2 transmission capacity given to the electricity market as early as during trial period

The tests of the new Fenno-Skan 2 submarine cable interconnection between Finland and Sweden have proceeded well. Fingrid and Svenska Kraftnät have decided to give the transmission capacity of the connection to the market as early as the during trial period from 15 November. The capacity given to the market will be determined daily according to the operational situation and test programme. The additional capacity can be up to 800 MW.
The trial period of Fenno-Skan 2 is planned to continue until 15 December, when the normal commercial operation of the connection will start according to the previous notice.
