Transmission capacity reservations on Fingrid's cross-border connections from Russia for 2007
Fingrid, the Finnish transmission system operator, offers to the electricity market parties electricity transmission capacity through its cross-border connections from Russia. Commercial capacity of the connections is 1300 megawatts (MW).Transmission reservations for contract periods starting at the beginning of the next year had been submitted to Fingrid by the due date end of August as follows:

Fingrid launched the transmission service on 400 kilovolt Russian connections in 2001 with capacity of 900 MW. The connection was later extended by 400 MW as the third tie-line was commissioned in 2003. So far the service has been utilised by the following companies: EGL Nordic AS, Fortum Power and Heat Oy, Helsingin Energia, Norsk Hydro Produksjon AS, OstElektra GmbH, Pohjolan Voima Oy, RAO Nordic Oy, RWE Trading GmbH, Scaent AB, Sempra Energy Europe Ltd, Statkraft Energi AS and Vantaan Energia Oy.
