Datahub Authorization Service

The Authorization Service helps consumers and companies manage authorizations granted to electricity market operators.

Authorizations may be needed for monitoring electricity consumption, comparing electricity contracts, managing load control, or using other energy services. The service allows you to grant, amend and terminate authorizations easily and securely.

The Authorization Service was introduced in May 2026. The service replaces the authorization function previously used in OmaDatahub.

Service in brief

Create a new authorization

You can grant an authorization to a company from which you would like to receive an electricity contract quote or to a company that provides electricity consumption tracking services.

View your existing authorizations

You can view all authorizations you have granted and change their validity period or terminate authorizations no longer needed.

Accept an authorization request

In the service, you can accept an authorization request from a company whose services you want to use or invite to tender.

Using the Authorization Service on behalf of a company or another person

In the Authorization Service, you can act on behalf of another person, a company or an organization using Suomi.fi e-Authorizations.

On the Suomi.fi e-Authorizations pages, under “Grant and request authorizations”, you can grant and request electronic mandates for the themes of your choice. Select “Viewing the details of electricity agreements” as the mandate theme. Once the mandate is valid in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations, you can use the Datahub Authorization Service on behalf of another person.

If a person cannot grant an authorization independently in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations, the authorization can be granted with assistance.

Acting on behalf of another person is not possible if the person has a non-disclosure for personal safety purposes.

More information on granting a mandate is available in the Suomi.fi e-Authorizations instructions.

Contact details for end-user support and advice on Suomi.fi e-Authorizations can be found on the Advisory service on Suomi.fi services.

You can represent a company if you have been granted a mandate for this in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations or if you have the right to sign on behalf of the company.

When you act on behalf of a company, your right to do so is automatically verified via Suomi.fi e-Authorizations using the Trade Register, the Business Information System, the Register of Associations or the Mandate Register (containing mandates granted in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations).
