Fingrids investeringsbeslut om en transformatorstation på Lavianvuori

På Lavianvuori i Kangasala kommer en ny transformatorstation att byggas år 2015 för att komplettera det nuvarande elnätets funktion. Elstationen på gränsen mellan Kangasala och Valkeakoski ansluts till områdets 110 kilovolts nät med en ny 6 kilometer lång 110 kV kraftledning.

​För elmatningen i landskapet Birkaland svarar huvudsakligen en 400/110 kilovolts transformatorstation i Kangasala. Transformatorkapaciteten vid stationen i Kangasala börjar småningom bli för liten då elförbrukningen ökar. Stamnätsbolaget Fingrid Oyj har fattat beslut om att investera i en ny 400/110 kV transformatorstation som ska byggas på Lavianvuori för att stärka Birkalandsområdets elnät. Den nya stationen kommer att stärka den långsiktiga utvecklingen av stamnätet i området.

Investeringsprojektet innebär kostnader på cirka 15 miljoner euro. Lavianvuori transformatorstation placeras intill den nuvarande 400 kilovolts ledningen Hikiä–Kangasala  och en stationstomt på över 16 hektar ger goda möjligheter att bygga ut ställverken då nätet utvecklas. Transformatorstationen kommer att ligga nära  tyngdpunktsområdet för elförbrukningen i Birkaland.
