Landscape towers

The new 110 kilovolt (kV) and 400 kV landscape towers are designed for urban areas and areas which are delicate in terms of scenery, such as crossing of waterways. The new towers represent Fingrid’s technical approach which respects the natural environment.

The landmark near a multi-level junction of ring road Kehä III in Espoo is a unique piece of environmental art composed of three 400 kV towers, called Sinikurjet, soaring to a height of 34 metres. The so called Pirkanpylväs is even higher, reaching 62 metres in height.
