Fingrid ja ABB allekirjoittivat urakkasopimuksen Kuolajärven sähköasemasta

Fingrid Oyj ja ABB Oy, Power Systems allekirjoittivat maanantaina 11.8.2014 urakkasopimuksen uuden Kuolajärven 220 kV sähköaseman rakentamisesta. Asema tulee sijaitsemaan Kittilässä lähellä Sodankylän rajaa.
Asemaan liittyy omalla voimajohdollaan Kuolavaara-Keulakkopään tuulipuisto, jonka asennusteho on noin 50 MVA. Urakassa Isoniemi-Vajukoski 220 kV -voimajohto käännetään kulkemaan aseman kautta.

Asemasta tulee valmistuessaan Suomen ensimmäinen 220 kV GIS-laitos ja se on myös ensimmäisen pelkästään tuulivoimaliittyjää varten Fingridin rakennuttama asema.

Allekirjoitetun sopimuksen arvo on noin 4,6 miljoonaa euroa.

Tarjouskyselyssä annettiin mahdollisuus tarjota joko avokytkinlaitosta tai GIS-laitosta. Teknisen ja taloudellisen evaluoinnin perusteella valittiin toteutustavaksi GIS-ratkaisu, jonka eduiksi katsottiin muun muassa merkittävästi avokytkinlaitosta pienemmät ympäristövaikutukset rakennettavan alueen ollessa avokytkinlaitoksen vaatimaa oleellisesti pienempi.

Urakoitsija aloittaa hankkeen vaatimat työt välittömästi, ja aseman käyttöönotto tapahtuu jo syyskuussa 2015.
