Pasi Aho appointed CEO of Fingrid Datahub Oy

Fingrid Datahub Oy’s Board of Directors has appointed Pasi Aho as the company’s CEO as of 1 February 2022.

Pasi Aho has worked for Fingrid Group since its inception in 1997, initially as the manager of balance services. Since 2015, he has led the Datahub project, which will make a significant impact on the electricity retail market.

“Datahub is transitioning from a development project to an operating business, and it is natural for Pasi Aho to take over the running of Fingrid’s subsidiary. He has demonstrated his determination and customer orientation throughout this demanding project,” says Jukka Ruusunen, Chair of the Board of Directors.

Fingrid Datahub Oy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fingrid Oyj, established to take care of the operational tasks associated with Datahub. The subsidiary’s key tasks include providing and developing the centralised information exchange system and other related services for electricity market parties, as well as managing the registered information needed by the electricity market.

Datahub is a centralised information exchange system for the electricity retail market, storing data from 3.8 million electricity accounting points in Finland. The data stored in Datahub will be used by approximately 80 electricity suppliers and approximately 80 distribution system operators as they serve electricity consumers.
