Nordic Multi-NEMO Day-Ahead Market Coupling Go-Live postponed

Implementation of the Nordic Multi-NEMO Arrangements (Nordic MNA) market coupling project has entered its final stage. The last testing phase, the pan-European Multi Regional Coupling (MRC) testing was to be completed by end of March.

Unfortunately, due to the latest COVID-19 developments, the Nordic MNA project parties and their Single Day-Ahead Coupling (SDAC) counterparts have concluded that the MRC testing must be postponed until further notice. This is for all parties to run their critical functions and processes, including market coupling through SDAC, in a robust and efficient way during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Consequently, the publication of the Nordic MNA go-live date is postponed. As soon as there is visibility on reliable dates for completing the last testing activities, the target go-live date will be published.

In the meantime, project parties have continued to make good progress to facilitate the go-live of the Nordic MNA project as soon as possible. Nordic regional testing has been completed successfully and the project parties are working on completing final procedural and governance topics.
