Svenska Kraftnät puoltaa Ruotsin jakamista neljään hinta-alueeseen

Ruotsin hallitus on pyytänyt Svenska Kraftnätia selvittämään Ruotsin jakamista useampaan sähkön hinta- tai tarjousalueeseen. Svenska Kraftnät toivoo, että päätös saadaan aikaan jo marraskuun aikana.
Pohjoismaiden energiaministerit pyysivät syyskuussa 2008 pohjoismaisia kantaverkkoyhtiöitä selvittämään sähköpörssialueen jakamista nykyistä useampaan hinta- tai tarjousalueeseen. Selvityksen taustalla on pohjoismaisen sähköpörssin hinta-alueiden sisäisistä pullonkauloista johtuva tehottomuus.
 
Svenska Kraftnät uskoo että Ruotsin jakaminen hinta-alueisiin johtaa oikeampiin sähkön hintoihin ja hintasignaalit tehostavat pitkällä aikavälillä sähköntuotannon ja kulutuksen sijoittumista.
 
Svenska Kraftnätin mukaan tuulivoiman lisärakentaminen asettaa korkeita vaatimuksia pullonkaulojen tehokkaaseen käsittelyyn ja jako markkina-alueisiin on siksikin tarpeen. Se edesauttaa myös pohjoismaisten sähkömarkkinoiden integroitumista.
