Prices for the electricity Guarantee of Origin service will be reduced starting from July 1, 2025
On 1 July 2025, Finextra will decrease the unit prices for issuing, importing, exporting and ex-domain cancellation electricity GOs.
From the beginning of July 2025, the unit price for issuance will be €0.003/MWh (from 1 January to 30 June 2025, the unit price is €0.006/MWh), the unit price for imports and exports will be €0.002/MWh (from 1 January to 30 June 2025, the price is €0.004/MWh) and the unit price for ex-domain cancellation will be €0.025/MWh (from 1 January to 30 June 2025, the price is €0.05/MWh). Other unit prices will remain unchanged.
The reason for the pricing changes is the unforeseen additional revenues received by Finextra Oy, which could not have been anticipated when deciding on the pricing for 2025. The most significant unforeseen revenues have arisen from imports to and exports from Finland.
According to section 9 (“Fees”) of the Standard Terms and Conditions (STC) appended to the service agreement for electricity GOs, Finextra Oy is entitled to revise its charges mid-year if the content of the services changes materially or additional costs arise that could not have been reasonably anticipated in connection with the annual price list update.
