Fingrid’s Green Bond Investor Letter and Impact Report 2019 published

Green Bond Investor Letter and Impact Report 2019 – presents investments as well as climate and environmental impacts of these investments financed with the proceeds from the Green Bond issued by Fingrid.

Fingrid has published Green Bond Investor Letter and Impact Report 2019 (attached).  

The report presents the investments and realized as well as estimated climate and environmental impacts of these investments financed with the proceeds from the EUR 100 million green bond issued by Fingrid in 2017. The Green Bond proceeds were allocated to eleven investment projects connecting renewable power generation to the main grid or reducing technical electricity transmission losses.  

Fingrid is Finland’s transmission system operator with the mission to secure reliable electricity for the customers and the society and to shape the clean, market oriented power system of the future.

“Sustainability is one of our core corporate values, it is natural for us to participate in the green bond market to finance our long term investments which have positive environmental effects", says Jan Montell, CFO, Senior Vice President.
