New transmission service conditions confirmed for Finnish - Russian cross-border trade

According to the new transmission service conditions the traders are allowed to bid the volumes imported to Finland or exported from Finland through bilateral trade more freely on the power exchange.
Moreover, when the necessary transparency arrangements has been done, the direct trade volumes are allowed to be bid on the Finnish bidding area instead of the Finnish Russian Exchange -area as long as the use of the block orders in Finnish Russian Exchange -area is not possible.

The purpose of the both changes is to make block orders possible in the cross-border power trade between Finland and Russia, which will improve the trade conditions especially during the Russian peak hours with capacity payments.

The new service conditions are applied from 1 March, 2016.
