Fingrid invests over 6 million euros in the renewal of the Porvoo substation

The substation owned by transmission system operator Fingrid and located in Hornhattula, Porvoo, will be renewed by the end of 2018. A new substation building and gas-insulated switchgear will be constructed at the substation, and small-scale changes will be made to power lines connected to the station. The station's current, technically out-of-date equipment and structures in poor condition will be dismantled after the completion of the new switchgear.

 

The main contractor responsible for the project's construction work will be known after the bidding competition in early 2017, and construction will commence in April 2017.
