Transmission reliability of Fingrid's grid in 2014

The forced outage and transmission reliability data for the national grid managed by Fingrid for 2014 has been released.
The transmission reliability rate remained very good: it was 99.9997%. The volume of energy not transmitted amounted to 179 MWh and the calculated economic impact of forced interruptions (KAH) was EUR 4.2 million. The average duration of forced interruptions in connection points due to disturbances (SAIDI) was 8.1 minutes. The indicators KAH and SAIDI were slightly worse than the average figures for the past ten years due to two major faults.
