Vyborg HVDC link is tested in exporting power from Finland to Russia

On Wednesday 12 March one of the 350 MW units of the Vyborg HVDC link is tested.
The aim of the test is to check Vyborg 400 kV link power regulator and substation automation in export direction.
 
Fingrid, the Russian Federal Grid Company and the Russian System Operator are preparing the technical and commercial conditions for two-way trade between Finland and Russia. For the time being only trade from Russia to Finland is possible.
