Safety on the Lines 2_2014 occupational safety magazine has been published

Fingrid's occupational safety publication for service providers shares information on occupational safety and its best practices, as well as deals with accidents and dangerous situations that have occurred on Fingrid's work sites.
In this issue:
  • Learning from mistakes - Status report concerning incidents and dangerous situations in 2014
  • Serious dangerous situation at the Huutokoski reserve power plant
  • Safe excavation work
  • Occupational safety – attitudes and transparency
  • Updates on the occupational safety development project

In his editorial, Keijo Välimaa, Fingrid’s construction manager, congratulates projects which have achieved ‘zero accident’ target:  Fingrid’s target for the construction and maintenance of the grid may seem hard to achieve, when about a million working hours are carried out every year at work sites.  However many of the projects completed this autumn have passed without any accidents resulting in days lost to illness or injury. Congratulations and thanks for some great safety work!
