Fatality at Fingrid’s transmission line site: one person died of electric shock

A serious accident occurred at a work site of Fingrid, the electricity transmission system operator in Finland, this morning, resulting in the death of one person of electrical shock.

An employee of the Polish company Selpol was inspecting and repairing the new transmission line between Yllikkälä and Huutokoski. The cause of the accident is still unknown and is being investigated.

Fingrid deeply regrets the unfortunate event.
