Fingrid issued a EUR 300 million public bond

Finnish transmission system operator Fingrid Oyj A1/AA-/A+ (Stable/Neg./Stable) has issued a 300 million euro bond with a 12-year maturity under its EUR 1.5 billion EMTN (Euro Medium Term Note) Programme. The bond's public listing started today, on Tuesday 3 April 2012, on London Stock Exchange.
The principal terms of the bond are the following:
- a fixed rate bond with EUR 300 million nominal value
- a 3.5% coupon paid annually
- the maturity date of the bond is 3 April 2024
 
The proceeds from the bond issue are used for general corporate purposes. The bond issued by Fingrid was subscribed by approximately 70 European and Nordic institutional investors.
 
The joint bookrunners were Barclays, ING, Nordea Markets and Pohjola Bank.
