Fenno-Skan total import capacity from Sweden to Finland has been reduced to 1200 MW until further notice
The total capacity of Fenno-Skan 1 and 2 from Sweden to Finland will be reduced 150 MW until the auxiliary systems at Rauma substation have been secured against bipolar fault, which occurred 26th April 2012. The investigations and planning of needed changes in Rauma substation have already been started.The aim of the reduction is to prevent the propagation of possible bipolar fault to other interconnections and thus increase power system security.
