Fenno-Skan tests limit the transmission capacity between Finland and Sweden in January

Fingrid and Svenska Kraftnät limit the transmission capacity between Finland and Sweden during the commissioning tests of Fenno-Skan 1 new automation system between January 11th and 24th, 2013.
The tests will be executed during evenings and nights and the lowest total capacity on both northern and southern interconnections between Sweden and Finland will be 200 megawatt.  The Fenno-Skan 1 and 2 interconnections with total capacity of 1350 megawatt constitute about a half of the transmission capacity between Finland and Sweden.

If a very cold winter period occurs during the tests causing risk for security of supply in Finland, the tests will be interrupted and normal capacity will be given to the market.

Detailed capacities during the tests will be found on the market information web-pages of power exchange Nord Pool Spot.
