Fingrid specification for the operational performance of the wind power plants has been updated
Fingrid has updated its specification for the operational performance of the wind power plant (VJV2007). The update covers the earlier wind power plants related appendices 2 and 3 of VJV2007, which has now been replaced by new appendices 2 - 6.Considering the technical content of the VJV2007 specification, the main scope of the update is to define dedicated requirements for the wind power plants within MVA range of 0.5 - 10 MVA. The requirements specified for 0.5 - 10 MVA wind power plants are based on the requirements set for wind power plants with rating higher than 10 MVA, but the extent and level of the requirements has been modified so that the requirements reflect better the needs of connection arrangements and voltage levels that are typical for plant sizes of 0.5 - 10 MVA.
Additionally, in connection of the update the main content of the existing background documentation related to wind power plant requirements has been integrated as part of VJV2007 appendices. These additions are especially related to VJV2007 specification related practical implications that needs to be taken into account in wind power plant design such as the provision of the wind power plant documentation and the practices related to demonstration of the compliance. Also, a presentation covering the main items of VJV2007 specification to be taken into account along the wind power plant project has prepared as VJV2007 background material.
The Fingrid specification for the operation performance of the power plants will be completely revised during year 2012 and this update basically serves as an intermediate step between the wind power plant requirements dated back to year 2008 and the 2012 revision.
