Annual service of Fenno-Skan submarine cable prolonged because of fault

Updated 9.10.2008 The Fenno-Skan direct current link between Finland and Sweden was originally due to be serviced from 29 September to 4 October
2008, but it cannot be made available to the market before 10 October by 18.00 o?clock. Commissioning after service has been
postponed by inductors which were damaged at the Rauma converter substation in conjunction with construction work on 3 October.
The damaged inductors will be replaced by spare parts and temporary switchings. The restrictions in transmission capacity
