Transmission reservations on the Russian cross-border connections for 2007 confirmed

Fingrid Oyj has confirmed available lot of 250 megawatt (MW) transmission capacity from the Russian cross-border connections for three importing companies. Confirmation has been issued based on an account supplied by JSC "FGC UES", a Federal Grid Company of Russia, such that 100 MW portion is for Fortum Power and Heat Oy, 100 MW  for OstElektra GmbH and 50 MW for RAO Nordic Oy. The transmission reservations will become effective as of the beginning of 2007.

In addition, existing transmission contract of 300 MW with Fortum Power and Heat Oy, 500 MW contract with RAO Nordic Oy and 250 MW contract with Scaent AB are to continue thus making the entire available commercial capacity of 1300 MW completely reserved. Additional information:
