Mr. Timo Toivonen will retire from his position as President and Chief Executive Officer of Fingrid Oyj as of January 1, 20

Over nearly fifteen years, Mr. Toivonen has made the Finnish approach to run the national transmission business and related system responsibility the number one, global benchmark.
Recruiting process for his successor is launched immediately. The goal is to have the new CEO appointed by June 2006 and to become as comprehensively as possible acquainted with the duties at Fingrid well prior to the end of the year.
