Transmission reservations on the Russian cross-border connections for 2005 confirmed

900 megawatts (MW) of transmission capacity on the Russian cross-border connections of Fingrid Oyj, which is responsible for the main electricity transmission grid in Finland, have been confirmed for four importers. Based on an account supplied by JSC "RAO UES INTERNATIONAL", a company responsible for electricity exports from Russia, as well as on the terms for transmission capacity reservations, Fingrid has confirmed a transmission reservation of 200 MW for EGL Nordic AS, 200 MW for Norsk Hydro ASA, 250 MW for RAO Nordic Oy and 250 MW for Scaent AB. The transmission reservations will become effective as of the beginning of 2005. In addition, existing transmission contract of 300 MW with Fortum Power and Heat Oy and 100 MW contract with OstElektra Gmbh are to continue thus making the entire available commercial capacity of 1 300 MW completely reserved.
