Transmission reservations on the Russian cross-border connections confirmed
600 megawatts (MW) of transmission capacity on the Russian cross-border connections of Fingrid Oyj, which is responsible for the main electricity transmission grid in Finland, have been confirmed for three importers.Based on an account supplied by RAO EES Rossii, which is responsible for grid transmission and cross-border transmission in Russia, Fingrid has confirmed a transmission reservation of 300 megawatts for Norsk Hydro ASA, a transmission reservation of 250 megawatts to RAO Nordic Oy and a transmission reservation of 50 megawatts for RWE Trading GmbH.The transmission reservations will become effective as of the beginning of 2003.
The total commercial capacity of 1300 megawatts on the cross-border connections has now been reserved as of the beginning of 2003. Fingrid will inform separately of transmission capacity which becomes available later.
