Registration of Production Device

1. An account holder may add either a power  plant of its own or power plant administered by Power of Attorney to the GO register. The account holder must add the power plant's verification document and its attachments to the GO register. Approved methods of verifications are
  • a certificate issued by a certification body
  • a approval decision for the feed-in tariff system
  • European Energy Certificate System (EECS) verification

Verification is valid for five years from the date that the verification document or approval decision has been issued.

2. If an account holder administers the power plant of another producer, it must complete the attached power of attorney and add it to the GO registry in PDF format. The power of attorney form must be signed by the power plant owner in accordance with the articles of association.
3. At the time of registration, the account holder and Finextra agree on providing the power plant's net production data for the issuing of GOs. The power plant's net production data that is sent separately to Fingrid for main grid invoicing purposes may often be utilised when issuing a GO. Alternatively, the account holder may send the net production data of the power plant to Fingrid’s data system in either EDI or ebIX format.

EECS Verification

Power plant included in the feed-in tariff system

  • Power plants covered by the feed-in tariff for renewable energy (including multi-fuel power plants) can be verified using EECS verification.
  • To obtain this verification, please contact go@finextra.fi

Otherpowerplants

  • EECS verification is mainly used to verify hydropower, solar power and wind power plants. The Distribution System Operator's (DSO) certificate verifies that there is a renewable power plant behind a connection point.
  • The account holder pre-fills the attached DSO's certificate and sends it to the DSO for completion.
  • When the DSO has completed and signed the certificate, the account holder attaches it directly to the GO register.
