Update on Fingrid’s ownership structure
Fingrid Oyj announced on 5 February 2026 that Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company will sell its holding of approximately 20 per cent of the shares of Fingrid to the Finnish State and OP Pohjola Kantaverkko Holding Ky. The arrangements related to the change in ownership structure are implemented in phases and the transfer of series A shares (311 shares) from Mutual Pension Insurance Company Ilmarinen to the Finnish State, as well as the transfer of series B shares (350 shares) to OP Pohjola Kantaverkko Holding Ky, has now been completed.
In the next phase of the arrangements, 50 series A shares owned by the Finnish State will be converted to series B shares and sold to OP Pohjola Kantaverkko Holding Ky, with the State retaining one B share.
Once all arrangements related to the change in ownership structure have been fully completed, the State’s ownership share in Fingrid will increase to 59.5 per cent, and OP Pohjola Kantaverkko Holding Ky’s ownership share will be 14.2 per cent.
