Fingrid, together with Estonian and Latvian TSOs, is consulting the methodology for splitting long-term cross-zonal capacity on the country borders
Fingrid, together with the Estonian and Latvian transmission system operators, is proposing changes to the methodology for splitting long-term cross-zonal capacity on the Finnish-Estonian and the Estonian-Latvian borders. The transmission system operators are consulting market participants on the proposed changes. The consultation is open until 13 December 2024.
Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1719 establishing a guideline on forward capacity allocation obliges TSOs to develop a methodology for splitting long-term cross-zonal capacity between different long-term timeframes. The methodology defines the amount of long-term transmission rights to be auctioned for different maturities, such as yearly and monthly products.
