The dimensioning fault in Finland is returned to previous 865 MW after changes during annual maintenance in Olkiluoto

During the annual maintenance of Olkiluoto nuclear units from 3rd to 28th May 2009 changes were made to return the behavior of the units during nearby faults to the previous level. After the changes the dimensioning fault in Finland is again 865 MW, which is the size of one Olkiluoto nuclear unit. The units will not anymore decrease their output during voltage dips caused by nearby short circuits, except if the plant self is the object of the fault.

As a consequence of the change the reduced import capacity from Sweden to Finland has also increased back to 2050 MW during normal network situations. During the reduced import capacity period there were no price area hours caused by this reason.
