Structure of transmission lines
Fingrid's transmission lines are usually built using guyed towers; steel towers on 400 kV lines and wooden towers on 110 kV lines. Self-supporting lattice towers are used in urban areas. The oldest lines were built at the end of the 1920s, and they are still in use.
