The consumption fee of the feed-in tariff is invoiced to the grid customers afterwards for six-month periods once the information needed in invoicing has become available. The amount of the consumption fee of the feed-in tariff for each six-month period is ascertained 2 to 3 months after the closing of each six-month period.
Once Fingrid has received the relevant consumption fees from its grid customers, it is Fingrid’s duty to pay an additional price in accordance with the feed-in tariff to electricity fed into the grid. The additional price is paid to condensing power plants and combined heat and power plants with bleeding, which use domestic fuel peat and have a generator capacity of at least 120 megavolt amperes, afterwards in periods of six months until the end of 2010. The additional price of the feed-in tariff is determined on the basis of the formula specified under Section 4 of the Act.
| Additional price EUR/MWh | |
| = 1,00 EUR/MWh |

Pt = 7.00 EUR/MWh; price of fuel peat in condensing power plants εt = 0.377 ton CO2/MWh; specific emission factor for fuel peat Pe = (EUR/ton CO2); price of the emission allowance as the arithmetic average value of the three biggest allowance exchanges in turnover in EEA (European Economic Area) of the daily average value of quoted prices for daily trade in the calendar month in question ηt = 0.37; operating efficiency for condensing power plants using fuel peat Ph = (EUR/MWh); coal price in condensing generation as the value of fuel price factor h (one month) without taxes in the calendar month in question as published by Statistics Finland εh = 0.337 ton CO2/MWh; specific emission factor for coal ηh = 0.40; operating efficiency for condensing power plants using coal.
The feed-in tariff is paid in a calendar year for a maximum amount of electricity which corresponds to the nominal effect multiplied by 3,900 hours in a condensing power plant and to half of the nominal effect multiplied by 3,900 hours in a combined heat and power plant with bleeding.
The power plants within the feed-in tariff arrangement for peat: Kanteleen Voima Oy/ Haapavesi power plant, Alholmens Kraft/ Pietarsaari power plant, Vaskiluodon Voima/ Seinäjoki power plant and Oulun Energia/ Toppila power plant.
