Cross-border transmission capacities

The planned cross-border transmission capacities between Finland and the other Nordic countries and between Finland and Russia (via 400 kV interconnectors managed by Fingrid) are presented on the Cross-border transmission capacities pages. Capacities for ongoing and next week are shown. The page is updated every Tuesday and if there are changes.

Also, the realised commercial net exchange between Finland and the other Nordic countries and between Finland and Russia (total value, including also other connections than those 400 kV managed by Fingrid) is presented as well as realised the cross-border transmission capacities between Finland and the other Nordic countries.

The weekly graphs and tables are available starting week 14/2003. Updated once an hour.

Notice on capacity

Preliminary transmission capacities between Finland and the other Nordic countries and between Finland and Russia for the time period exceeding two weeks, and the outages affecting the limits are shown. Updated every Tuesday and if there are changes.

Available capacities

On the Available transmission capacities page, the available capacities for the Elbas-trade between Finland and the other Nordic countries for the ongoing and the next day, are shown.

The page is updated twice a minute.

Daily routine:

  • At the latest 10:30 a.m. Finnish time the transfer limits for the next day are informed
  • after the Nord Pool Elspot results have arrived at about 3:00 P.M. Finnish time:
    • the Elspot transfer for the next day is accepted
    • Elbas trading for the next day begins.
